Around My House

I saw a decent amount of signs of spring this week. One was that sunset is now sunset is at 8:15 PM and sunrise is at about 5:10 AM.  Another is Memorial Day. That is a sign to me because it means school is almost over. A third sign is that I went biking on a trail for the first time this spring. It is a sign because biking for me is a spring and summer sport.

Another sign I saw is I had strawberries for the first time this spring. Also, dragonflies are common now. That is a sign because this is the time they should be out according to my calendar. Another sign is my pool is clear finally. It is a sign because it takes a week or two to get clear after it is open which happened about a week ago and clear water makes me think of spring and summer. Finally, the NBA finals is a sign of spring (GO Celtics). It is because it ends near the end of school. Those are all of the signs of spring for this week.

Around my house and in my fridge

I saw a lot of signs of spring this week. One is that the weather has been really hot the past few days. It is 70 degrees right now and the sun already set. The sunset tonight was at about 8:10 PM. Another sign of spring is a sad one. According to my neighbor, every twelve to fifteen years, there is a spring crime spree and I was a victim. I was robbed on Friday. Another happier sign, is that my pool was opened today. It is a sign, because I open my pool every year around this time.

The other signs I saw this week were in my fridge. One was that my mom bought watermelon for the first time this spring. It is a sign because it is seasonal and I associate it with spring. Another sign is, that my mom bought corn on the cob for the first time this year. It is a sign for the same reasons as watermelon. Those are all the signs of spring I saw this week.

Around My House

 I saw a few signs of spring this week. One sign is in my karate class we are now able to were tee-shirts, as of yesterday. It is a sign for me because I associate tee-shirts with spring and summer and I start wearing tee-shirts without a sweat shirt in the spring, so anything tee-shirt related is a sign of spring for me. Another sign of spring is that sunset last night was at about 8:00 PM. That is a landmark time because 8:00 PM is what time I think of for sunset in the spring. Also, for the month of May,there has been consistent 70s and 80s for the weather.

Mothers' Day is another sign of spring. It was it last Sunday. It is because two of the first things I think of when you say it are spring and flowers, which are associated with spring. Also, mothers get flowers. A final sign is that MCAS is over. That is a sign of spring because it happens every spring. Those are all of my signs of spring for this week.

I saw quite a few signs of spring the past week. One was the sunset tonight was at about 7:50 PM. Last week it was at about 7:45 PM. Also, the weather has been consistently warm. The past three days it has hit 80 degrees. Third, walk to school day was today. THat is a sign because there is one in the fall and one in the spring.

I've noticed there has been a ton of pollen around lately. It's made me have wicked bad allergies. I consider it a sign of spring, because I think of allergies as a spring thing. Also, I have seen a lot flowers lately. Almost everything has bloomed. It is just in time for Mother's Day. Third, I saw a robin's egg. That is a sign because I haven't seen any eggs or many nests so far this year. Those are all my signs of spring for this week.

Around My House and in Florida!!!

I saw quite a few signs of spring this week. The weather was decent the past few days (I was in Florida so I have no clue about weather over vacation). Also, April vacation and my annual trip to Florida happened last week (I went to Disney and Universal Ha!). It is a sign for me because I go every year in April. Another sign is, that sunset was at about 7:45ish PM tonight. A third sign is that a patch of flowers are starting to grow (right in time for may flowers).

I had a lot of signs of spring related to sports the past few days. I broke in my baseball glove for the first time this year. I also went to the batting cages for the first time this year. Second, I rode my bike for the first time this spring. Finally, I  played tennis for the first time this year. I did that one in Florida. Those are all of my Signs of Spring this week. I'll blog again next week.

Around my House

I only saw a few signs of spring this week, but the were big. The first one (which is really almost a sign of summer) was the weather last Wednesday. It hit 95 degrees!!! It was also almost still 90 by 5:00 PM. Another sign is last Wednesday my mom used the grill for the first time this spring. Also, sunset was about 7:25 PM yesterday. Fourth, spring vacation is Saturday (or for me tomorrow Ha). That is a sign because it is Spring vacation.

I saw a lot of nature signs of spring also. A big one is almost everything is flowering. The things that aren't are growing ahead of schedule. This year the April showers saying is more like March showers bring April flowers. I also saw a lot of birds. Once again most of them were robins. Those are all the signs of spring I saw this week.

Around my House, Around my School, and the Public Garden in Boston

Past warm weather

I saw a ton of signs of spring this week! One was the Red Sox opening day (Yay they won!). It is a sign of spring because baseball is a spring sport. Also, I wore shorts for the first time this spring on Sunday. Third, My car had the windows down for the first time this spring. A fourth sign is grass is starting to turn green. Also, there are a lot of buds on trees and even some flowers. There as also been really nice weather the past few days. Finally, sunset last night was at about 7:15 PM.

I saw a lot of signs of spring at the Public Garden in Boston when I went there on Friday. I saw  yet another robin, which was the first of many since then. I saw it getting a worm. That means the ground is thawed which I think is a sign of spring. I also saw a different type of bird and a flower that bloomed. Finally, I saw a policeman on a horse. That is a sign of spring because they aren't out in the winter. Those are all the signs of springs I found this week.

Rain, Rain, Rain, and more Rain

One thing that I consider a sign of spring is all the rain. There is a lot of rain in the spring. Also, there is the saying April showers bring May flowers. So it feels like April which is the first whole month of spring and May and flowers aren't to far off. Also, Yesterday sunset was at about 7:10 PM. Another big sign is the actual first day of spring and the Vernal Equinox (same thing) passed. That is the biggest sign of spring to me. A third sign is today is the second day of Passover. Passover is a Jewish holiday and it usualy comes around April Vacation, so I asosciate it with spring.

I also saw some plants and animals this week. I saw skunk cabbage in the swamp behind my school. According to my science teacher skunk cabbages are some of the first plants to appear in swamps. I also have been noticing a lot of trees starting to have buds. The last sign I found was an American Robin. I took a picture yesterday and I have heard it a lot the past few days. It was my science teacher's bird of the week this week because it is just starting to appear. It was the first bird I have been able identify this spring so it is a sign to me. That is all the Signs of Spring I have seen this week.
